TotDogs Chili Cheese - Frozen - 20.1oz

Don't do it. This sounds like a great idea, but they taste pretty terrible.

Because of all the great reviews I was looking forward to these chili tots. Unfortunately they have absolutely no flavor. I threw the rest of the box away. I'm wondering if people think they taste good because they're dipping them in something.

The chili cheese seasoning takes these to a whole new level! The crispy tater tots are coated with just the right amount of chili cheese flavoring that melds perfectly into each bite. It’s like having an entire ballpark meal and a delicious little snack. Initially, I was a little bit concerned that the chili cheese could you have powering, but it seems to be just the right ratio. After trying the Original flavor, my family and I gave the Chili Cheese flavor Tot Dogs a try, and they really surprised us! They taste like a mini crispy corn dog packed with the familiar flavors of a classic bowl of chili. Just enough spice to give them a little kick but still mild enough for kids to enjoy. Each serving of 4 has 9g of protein which is a nice little protein boost for a snack. I cooked them in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 9 minutes, shaking them around halfway through. The instructions say 6-8 minutes but we found the centers were still slightly cold at 8, so adding the extra minute made a big difference. We tested out a few sauces with these and my sons favorite was ketchup and honey roasted bbq. The box comes with 30 mini dogs which is super convenient for quick snacks, appetizers or even an easy lunch for kids. They are just the right size and cook up really well. We love the original version, but I was hesitant to try these. The batter looks a little darker, and smells similar to a generic taco seasoning. They didn’t get as crispy as the original, and I wasn’t a huge fan of the flavor. It has a little spice to it, so the kids won’t eat it, and it admittedly gave me a bit of heartburn lol. These tot dogs were interesting! They seemed good quality and cooked according to instructions. The taste surprised me although I wasn't sure what to expect. It adds some interesting unexpected flavors! I fed them to my son as well and he enjoyed them with various dipping sauces! These are very much like the original Totdogs but with a little kick and slightly thinner coating. Quality is decent for frozen product, crisps up well in the air fryer in 15 minutes. There isn’t really a “tot” flavor that I was expecting, more like a crunchier corn dog. Value is decent for the price. Not sure if I would choose these over standard mini corn dogs, but they are definitely worth a try! I received an incentive to write this review.

My family enjoyed eating Tot dogs chili cheese seasoned. My toddler’s especially liked them, my husband and I thought they were alright. They are very quick to make in an air fryer and do not take long to cool down. The seasoning is nice because it’s mild enough that my toddlers ate it but also gave them a nice added flavor. The Chili Cheese Totdogs were a huge hit in my house. My super picky kids even enjoyed them. They are super easy to quickly air fry and come out nice and crispy. The breading on them isn’t super heavy and the seasoning makes them taste so good. They are perfect for an appetizer or meal. The size is perfect for kids too. These tot dogs are delicious. I followed the oven baked instructions on the box and they came out perfect. They are crispy when they come out. I am sure an air fryer could do amazing things. The tot portion is a thin layer wrapped around a hot dog. You can taste the chili cheese flavor on the tot dog. It’s a light flavor not overpowering and not salty. These Tot Dogs were okay. The chili flavor was a little too much for me. I did not care for them dipped in ketchup, so I used some mild queso dip, which was better. I cooked them in the air fryer per the instructions on the box, and they came out nice and crispy. I do wish there was more “tot” coating on them, but I liked the crunch. This is a good appetizer idea for adults. You can enjoy it before a game or before a sports practice. You can taste the potatoes but the taste of chicken is overwhelming. The flavor is nice because you can enjoy without sauces. I liked mustard with mine. This is a good breakfast idea. Been trying to get these spicy Totdogs since the Super Bowl! They were sold out every time I tried to order which got me more excited about finally trying them. These tots are interesting. The meat is chicken which was a surprise. So you get the taste of potatoes and chicken. This is a good breakfast option, I didn’t like it as a snack or for lunch or dinner. These are standard freezer dinner quality and consistency. Definitely appealing to kids. Very highly processed but tasty. The chili cheese seasoning is not super pronounced, but it's there. Quick and easy to prepare. The coating falls apart a bit into the air fryer, but not entirely. I don't love the taste, but my HS son totally does. So your mileage may vary with this one! These tot dogs are chili cheese flavored. The tot dog kept coming out of the breading which was disappointing. The flavored batter was a little spicy so if you don’t like spice these are not for you. You get a lot of food for the price. These are great for a children’s after school snack or even to warm up in their lunch, but I would not make them for a dinner meal as they were not super filling to me. These chili cheese seasoned tot dogs are a snack with a little bit of a kick to it. The hot dogs are about 2 inches long by an inch wide. They are evenly seasoned and make a great quick snack. My kids are smaller and definitely called them spicy however I tried them as well and thought they were fine. This one is better than the original with the addition of the chili cheese seasoning! The crust is still similar to corndog but mixed with potatoes and a lot more crispy when air fryed. It is still an easy meal/snack for after school or between meals. I still wish it had more larger potato pieces in batter to mimic tater tots more. I much prefer this one to the original.
