  • A: Our beds are not recommended to be used with bunkie boards or box springs. If the mattress you purchase is not one of ours and is sliding through the slats, we offer a premium slat roll to purchase as some mattress brands have certain requirements.

However, we recently got a contract with Angi's List, so you are more than welcome to look into them for the assembly and use this discount code, Maxwood15. Otherwise, we recommend a few other websites, such as thumbtack.com, goloadup.com, and taskrabbit.com, if Angi's List does not work for you. Several of our customers have had good experiences with these other companies.

Very impressed with this bunk

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very impressed with this bunk bed. We got two of the twin over full in Navy. It compares to the Pottery Barn for much less money. The instructions are clear and easy to follow. Just organize your pieces based on numbers. We used a metric ruler to measure the screws to identify the correct ones. Very happy with this purchase and plan to purchase more Plank and Beam!

Twin over full bef

The product was the item described and shipped fast . I received the product within two days . However upon assembling the bed I noticed one piece had a deep 6 inch scratch . I contacted customer service and was assisted promptly . I was assured a new pice would be sent to me within a few days it has been two days now we will see if it arrives. First bed I bought from them was a great experience hope this will be also.

I feel so good about my kids swinging and climbing on this thing because it feels SO STURDY. I don't hesitate to go up into the top bunk to tuck my kid in bed. Amazing value compared to a lot of the garbage you can buy in the same price range.

Good value for the money, and good customer service

Overall the bed seems sturdy. It is good quality for the price. You need to be somewhat handy to put it together. The frame was damaged upon arrival, but I contacted customer service who provided a satisfactory response. They are sending a repair kit and gave a partial refund for my troubles. I will continue to give business to Plank and Beam due to the good customer service.
