OmniFoods Frozen Vegan Plant Based Teriyaki Bao Pork-Style - 7.05oz

Okay so YUM! I really liked these! So for context I am a college kid who eats a lot of dorm frozen meals and these worked out GREAT! I love Asian food and these were so easy and tasty to whip up in an old microwave! I paired these with some kimchi and cucumber salad to help make it a fancy not sad frozen meal! I don't eat meat, but these were perfectly made to create that flavor! I would def get again!

These were good. My husband brought these home to try. They are going on the favorites list. I wish more than 4 were in a bag.

I love these! I am not a meat eater and I wish they had a veggie version. I steamed them in a pot and I would recommend a steamer pot insert. I put some teriyaki sauce on them and they were awesome

I've been vegetarian for over a decade so I've never tasted a version of this with meat, however- I love the flavor! I've had veggie or taro bao in restaurants before, and this compares favorably to a restaurant bao in regards to the dough texture and flavor. I like the filling a lot, very savory with good umami. though I can't say how it compares to the "real thing" I'm really enjoying these. I will keep an eye out for when they may have a special, since they are a bit of a treat.

It's really hard to find plant-based bao buns, unless you go to an Asian grocery store. These are well made, have a wonderful flavor, and are easy to make. I just wish they were a little cheaper, considering you only get 4.

Delicious. Goes really well with coconut aminos for dipping. Filling is very meaty, the outside is very pillow-y. Easy to make in the microwave with some paper towels.

I just saw these shopping in Target yesterday. I pulled up the reviews in the store and it was 6 5 stars, so bought them Absolutely awful. They were not cheap, $5.99 for 3 servings, but were on sale, that's why I grabbed them and the popstickers which were also flavorless I don't want to retun the, it's a pain returning frozen food, but $10 out of my weekly budget to not eat is not good.

Absolutely delicious! Normally I don’t like frozen food but these are amazing. They remind me of buns from Chinatown! Highly recommended!!

I never take the time to review food. Never. These plant based bao buns are just INCREDIBLE. The bun is very fluffy, I was actually surprised how soft and fluffy it was considering it was frozen (You must steam them of couse, I just used a metal steam basket in pot, no fancy steamer required). The filling is unbelievably tasty. I have never tasted anything plant based like it. My husband eats pork on a rare occasion, and he said it tastes very similar to pork. Oh, and its PACKED with filling, they did not skimp. Very good ratio of filling to bun 10/10. My hubs reveiew: "They are just as good if not better than bao buns you get in restaurants, very, very good, would eat on the regular." I dipped mine in a little bit of hot chili sauce and it was just perfect. I will buy these every time I go to the store. Can't wait to try the other OmniFoods now.

I’m so glad I found a vegetarian Bao bun at the grocery store. So delicious!

Soooo happy I found these. To me, freezer meals with meat always have terrible texture (like 50% cartilage bits and fat). I’m not even a vegetarian but only buy veg or vegan freezer foods. I’ve kept my eye out for good bao in America for years after a trip to Japan full of amazing gas station bao. This has come the closest.

As a kid, I loved going to Chinatown to get pork filled bao buns. But I’ve been veggie for decades and have never seen a plant based version. Until yesterday! These steam up so nice in the microwave. The buns are perfect and the filling is delicious. I regret only buying one bag.
