I was so excited to try this drink but it was a huge let down. The flavor was gross, reminded me of kombucha (if that’s your kind of thing you’ll probably like this). I only took two sips out of the can and could not finish this. The flavor/taste is very strong.

I purchased all 4 of the Trip flavors because I was offered a reimbursement by the Trip people (up to $9) as a promotion. The blood orange flavor is disgusting, I don’t even know how to describe it. I couldn’t even drink it. I was able to drink the raspberry orange flavor and I didn’t feel any kind of calming effect. Maybe you need to drink more than one but I’m not going to waste anymore money to find out. These are normally $3 each but Target was running a BOGO 50% off so I was able to get all 4 flavors for under $9. I submitted my receipt and was only reimbursed $2. I messaged back asking why I didn’t get the full $9 and never got a response to my question, but I did get another message offering to reimburse me if I purchased more. No thanks. Don’t waste your money on these drinks!

Intense Anxiety Attack, No Warning Provided
I was really looking forward to trying this drink — the branding is sleek, and I’m familiar with all the ingredients (Ashwagandha, L-theanine, Lion’s Mane, magnesium). But after drinking the Blood Orange Mindful Blend, I experienced a sudden, intense anxiety attack that completely blindsided me. The most frustrating part is the complete lack of any warning on the can. These ingredients are known to impact the nervous system and can interact in ways that aren’t always predictable — especially when combined. Even though I already understood what each one does on its own, I didn’t expect such an extreme reaction. This isn’t just a sparkling water with some herbs — it’s a functional drink with serious effects, and it should be labeled as such. I won’t be buying it again, and I’d caution others to think twice before trying it, especially without knowing how your body might respond.

Careful: 120mg of Magnesium Citrate
If you're already taking magnesium (any type) the 120mg of Magnesium Citrate can cause dramatic side effects. Also, if you've never supplemented Mag maybe try half a can first or stay close to home, just in case.

Not a real blood orange flavor
I feel so sad to write that I didn’t like the flavor. It is not my cup of tea. Tastes medicinal or just fake .. and I love actual blood oranges. I’m sure other people enjoy this but sadly it’s a miss for me. I’ll have to try another flavor to see if I like it. I only had a few sips because I could not stomach it.

The most important thing is of course flavor, and the Trip blood orange variety is bursting with flavor! I enjoy eating blood oranges so I decided to try this variety. (Highly recommended over 3 cubes of ice, which cuts the intensity of the flavor a bit.)
