I thought I'd give this a try and I was extremely disappointed. The meat was so tough is was unedible, the carrots which were few were hard as a rock also unedible, the only vegetable that was edible were the few small pieces of potatoes which I had to eat because I had nothing else prepared. The taste of the gravy wasn't good either. I will never order Dolly Parton dinners again, absolutely the worst frozen dinner I've ever tried to eat and I pretty much survive on frozen dinners as I'm handicapped. I don't. Smelled too much of whiskey. Yes it's listed as an ingredient but I expected it to be an accent, not smell like a whole bottle is in there. The meat was good. Flavor would have been great if there was less alcohol in it.

If you like cooked carrots, this will probably be great. But if you’re looking for a reasonable amount of meat, do not buy this. There were about 4 very small pieces of meat, and the ratio of carrots to the overall amount of other ingredients seemed to be approximately 4 to 1. DOLLY, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR NAME FROM THIS!!! YOU’RE TOO GOOD FOR THIS, DOLLY!!!

As a Conagra employee, I was excited to try the new meals in our Dolly Parton collection. The tasty Beef Pot Roast did not disappoint. The gravy is rich and delicious, adding wonderful flavor to the beef and vegetables. The meal is the perfect size for lunchtime. My only critique is that the vegetable mix included large slices of onions, which I do not personally like. But they were easy to avoid. I would try this meal again.

I added my own season in it, like garlic powder and peppers. It had more carrots than meat and potatoes. This is my first time eating Dolly Parton's meal.
