Missing dye, not a great taste
These were frustrating to say the least. To start, the box did not have the orange coloring packet. The cake would not form into balls so they looked very weird. We did the extra step for the sticks and they all still fell off while eating. The flavor and quality were just not great. Would not recommend.

Looked good fell short
They were terrible. When I put the white chocolates in the microwave, they smelled like burnt plastic. The finished product tasted like a baby mashed together cake better, put it on a stick, and dipped it in chunky frosting with food coloring. Did I mention it’s an absolute waste of your time I had my hopes up for it. It took 2 hours.

Just buy cake mix, frosting and some sticks.
Good try but bad execution on the kit. It would have been easier to just do it myself, the cake is horrible, very gummy. Fun for kids but very hard to do with them.

nope
So many steps for such little outcome I mean it made my daughter happy but it was a pain to make it and then make sure you have room in the freezer which I didn't. Also a lot of microwave use for baking.

Super cute and yummy
My 7 year old daughter loves cake pops and for the price, this kit far exceeded my expectations! I made some slight changes to directions (didn’t add sugar to the frosting, didn’t add the food coloring to the coating, and used natural Halloween sprinkles from Trader Joe’s). This was my first time making cake pops and I think the key was to keep them in the freezer for a couple of hours. They came out super cute and my family loved the fudgey texture of the cake pops! Everyone said they tasted better than the ones from Starbucks.

Sweet treat made my night SOUR
This kit is hands down one of the worst baking “products” I’ve ever wasted money on. The so-called chocolate cake doesn’t even taste like chocolate — it’s flat, bland, and forgettable. But the biggest disaster? The “melting wafers.” They don’t melt. They don’t dip. They don’t coat. Instead, the second you try to use them with the provided food coloring, they turn into a thick, clay-like glob that’s impossible to work with. No amount of oil, no amount of microwaving, no amount of praying fixes the mess. This ruined my boyfriend and I’s date night, made a TON of mess, with no satisfaction at the end. I was left miserable — crying, even. He had to console me by buying us a flight to Egypt next week because it was such an epic fail.

Halloween Fail
Everything went well until it was time to roll them in the frosting. The frosting got hard quickly and was impossible to work with. They don't taste good either.

Disgusting!!
Don’t waste your money. These were a total fail and tasted so bad! We followed the exact instructions but the balls fell apart and would not stay together. The melting chocolate was thick and we could not dip them easily. As you can see by the picture, they came out terrible. I would not buy these again.

Largely as Expected, Not Perfect
Good value for a holiday themed activity with my daughter. No, they didn’t taste great. And I was also missing one of my cake pop sticks. But considering this was <$10 the holiday novelty was great.

10/10 do NOT recommend
Honestly if I could review this without having to give it even 1 star, I would. My daughter was so excited to do these. I wish I had read the reviews prior to buying. The cake mix was fine and baked okay. The frosting packet was terrible- tasted super artificial. I did some tweaking to make that taste better. The biggest problem is that the white chocolate wafers would NOT melt nicely! They went from being a smooth, but very thick consistency that was not able to be used for dipping, to a thin, oily, gritty mess. Honestly so disappointed I spend money on this.
