This was my first time trying a product from MadeGood. I can’t quite put my finger on what I don’t like about these. They taste oddly artificial, even though there are no artificial ingredients, and they’re too sweet despite not having much sugar. Plus, they’re super crumbly and make a mess.

The banana taste dominates the chocolate chip but I don’t mind. However, each cup is 140 calories which is excessive for their size. The mess that I had to clean up was intense. Then I realized it’s made without eggs so there is nothing to bind the muffin together. The taste of the muffin was also off. It tastes like a fermented banana. Unfortunately this was not for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to like these for so many reasons. The first being that I could eat them because they are #vegan and thus egg free. The next reason was that they are #kosher parve and #nutfree meaning I could send them into school with my kid. They are moist which is important in a baked good but the banana flavor was very strong almost artificial and I couldn’t get past it. I’ll keep trying different products by the brand hope I find something I can really sing to the hills about.
