Mid Tone Wood Floor Lamp - Threshold™

I love it! Some reviews say the shade looks bad, but if you turn the seam to the back, it’s perfect! I truly love it.

This is a decent PB dupe. The base looks good even with some missing paint and a gouge, but the shade is absolutely awful. You have to assemble the shade and it is not nice and smooth. You also can't get it perfectly even. They should skip the shade and reduce the price.

Love them! Bought two for our basement. Was worried reading reviews. They were in perfect condition coming out of the box.

You have to put the shade together and it looks very cheap and poor quality. I purchased while on sale and I liked the base so I will have to buy a new shade.

I like the look of this lamp but the quality is poor. The base is solid and heavy but was crooked. The shade is flimsy and looked dented. I ended up returning it.

Not real wood! The pieces would not connect as they seemed stripped out. There was a gap in the top connection piece that wouldn't seed in all the way.

I give this lamp one star because aesthetically it’s pretty. The quality is very poor. The fluted long stem/neck is attached to the base with glue, and the one I received had already separated. There’s no way to fix this. The assembly where the harp goes was attached in the wrong place, so there’s no way to attach the harp. And believe what everybody else said about the lampshade - it’s horrible. It actually is packed as a cone that you roll it into the proper shape and affix with Velcro. There’s no way to ever hide the very prominent seam.

I purchased this lamp two different times, from two different stores and they were BOTH broken. For it being $100, this is absurd.

I really like the style - as the other reviewers noted, the lamp base is heavy and sturdy for the price. That being said, it has some flaws. First, there is a heavy chemical smell right out of the box (smells like rubber cement). I'm hoping that will fade. Second, the lamp shade is probably one of the cheapest shades I've ever seen on a Target lamp - it actually comes rolled up and you have to attach it via a velcro strip. I guess that's one way to avoid crushed shades in shipping without making the box bigger. Third, the finial on the top of the shade is completely crooked. Like, the hole for the screw portion is laughably off center and the finial can never sit straight. If you don't look at it too close, it's not super noticiable, but it's annoying. Fourth, there is a weird residue on the base that will leave stain on your hands - you may want to wipe it down with a paper towel first before handling the base or the cord. Overall, if I had paid full price for this, I'd return it. I got it on sale for $70 which seems like a fair price for the sturdiness of the base so I'll probably keep it and plan to swap out the shade.

This floor lamp shade is heavy! Well made, easy to put together. I love the wood detail on the pole part. It’s just rustic enough and a beautiful dark brown shade. It works perfectly in our play room, which has only a small ceiling light in a corner that barely illuminated anything. My only issue was with the shipping. Be aware the lamp shade is huge, so the whole thing comes in a pretty big heavy package. The shade was just put in it, got damaged and beat up while the wooden part was bubble wrapped and in perfect condition. I would consider picking this one up in store if that’s an option, so this wouldn’t happen.

I love the base--it's sturdy, a nice warm wood tone and it adds visual interest to the room. Unfortunately, the shade that it comes with was pretty damaged in shipping. There are indent marks on all sides of the shade, and they are even more evident when the light is turned on. I'll have to get a new shade to use it. If you are able to buy in store and guarantee that your shade looks good, I'd definitely recommend it, but I wouldn't order for shipping again.
