Q: A couple of reviews said that the back of the rug is hard and rough. Will the 7’x10’ size rug in the tan color have the latex backing so it won’t scratch my hardwood floors?

A: We have this rug in 2 sizes. The 4.5x6 rug has a non slip backing in it. The 5x7 does not. I assume the 7x10 will not, either.
submitted byanj - 6 years agoA: I ordered this rug 3 times in 5x7 and 2 out of the 3 times it did not have the latex backing. The first time I ordered it it did but had a large, stretched out spot on it so we returned it. The latex backing was important to us as it was for my toddlers room and we did not want it to shift and move on our hardwood floors. Without the latex backing, the rug was very scratchy and slick. After our third try, we gave up and looked elsewhere.

A: It’s very easy to vacuum. It’s not a very thick pile. It’s similar to the thickness of wall to wall Berber carpeting. I have the 5’x7’ version and I use a dyson v8 on it easily.

Q: For the 2x7 runner, it is listed as being 84" long. The tag on the rug also says 84". However, the rug we purchased actually measures 87". Is it possible if we reorder another one it will be cut to the correct length of 84" instead of 87"?

A: Check my answer. Mine vacuums easily. It’s barely thicker than the binding around the edges. The pictures make it seem very thick, which it is not. It’s surprisingly soft and very easy to maintain.

A: Hi Sierra, This rug has little to no smell. It is made of polyester fibers with a latex backing, so it may have a faint smell of latex, but it goes away soon. I have these in home, and am very sensitive to smells, and I am not bothered. - Lima

I have quite a few of these rugs. They are inexpensive and good looking! They vacuum nicely as well. The only downside to them is they do pull easily so I have quite a few areas come undone that I have to cut with scissors. Then they don’t look as nice. Still functional though.

I’ve been looking everywhere for an affordable rug for my living room. Love the neutral color and the textured pattern. It’s soft to walk on and a great value. It looks much more expensive. Easy to vacuum and clean up messes. My dog threw up on it the first week I had it and I was able to get the stain out easily.

Shipped in extremely flimsy plastic packaging that was torn upon delivery. This caused the rug to be very dirty and damaged in the exposed areas. Would not recommend due to the packaging. Now we are responsible for dealing with disposing of the damaged rug. Lovely.

This rug has held up well until we decided to wash it. The entire surface frizzed up and is no longer the close loop it was before. It looks awful now just from one gentle cycle wash. We didn't dare put it in the dryer after reading some reviews. So buyer beware...spot clean only.

I've had this rug for 3-4 months and it brightens up the room considerably! It looks nice enough. I haven't tried fitting the whole 7 x 10 thing in my large washing machine yet but I have wiped up spots and little spills quickly and easily with a baby wipe. It is thick enough for me to work out on and sit comfortably on and it insulates the floor enough for sitting on cold days. I don't like the material- if I walk barefoot on it, my heels will catch on it.
