Washable Solid Machine Tufted Rug - Threshold™

A: The gray runner I received in Dec '24 is not rough at at. Also doesn't slide on our hardwood floor. I've only had it for a couple wks, but it seems to be holding up w/dog nails & frequent vacuuming.

A: We have this rug in 2 sizes. The 4.5x6 rug has a non slip backing in it. The 5x7 does not. I assume the 7x10 will not, either.

A: I ordered this rug 3 times in 5x7 and 2 out of the 3 times it did not have the latex backing. The first time I ordered it it did but had a large, stretched out spot on it so we returned it. The latex backing was important to us as it was for my toddlers room and we did not want it to shift and move on our hardwood floors. Without the latex backing, the rug was very scratchy and slick. After our third try, we gave up and looked elsewhere.

A: It’s very easy to vacuum. It’s not a very thick pile. It’s similar to the thickness of wall to wall Berber carpeting. I have the 5’x7’ version and I use a dyson v8 on it easily.

A: I use it on my vinyl plank floor and it works fine.

A: It's fine with my Roomba so far. Only had it a couple weeks (Dec '24), but all good. Doesn't slide, very low pile. Roomba doesn't seem to snag or get stuck on the corners.

A: I didn't smell anything on the gray runner I bought, and I have a nose like a bloodhound. FYI-purchased just a couple wks ago in early Dec '24.

A: Hi Sierra, This rug has little to no smell. It is made of polyester fibers with a latex backing, so it may have a faint smell of latex, but it goes away soon. I have these in home, and am very sensitive to smells, and I am not bothered. - Lima

A: I have the runner. It's less than a quarter inch thick. Very flat.

A: I've used them many times for my balcony. You can vacuum them easily and a full size washer is perfect and then hang dry.

A: Machine wash cold is fine, however the backing fell apart in the dryer! I line dry the others now.

A: Check my answer. Mine vacuums easily. It’s barely thicker than the binding around the edges. The pictures make it seem very thick, which it is not. It’s surprisingly soft and very easy to maintain.
