I tried it over a light lipstick and it provided a great matte look. I don’t always want that glossy look. I’m in the corporate world and like a more mature, professional look. Lipstick can dry your lips out but this alternative leaves them soft and healthy.

I love the dainty packaging and the name of this balm is “swipe sesh”. It pairs well with fair skin tones, but could look good on anyone. I would definitely recommend to family and friends. I gave it a 4/5 because it is only good by itself, if adding anything else on top, it will start to form bits and pieces, becoming so unappealing. It also does get everywhere including your teeth, even when it’s matte on your lips. I do think the packaging is adorable especially with the rounded top. It also only takes a few passes to get full coverage! If you’re into a scented matte lip balm, this is definitely for you!

I like that the cap screws on and off and it can stand upright since the top of the cap is flat. This smells really good, it’s a sweet scent almost close to chocolate. Goes on smoothly but it never seemed to dry down completely. This was not lasting and wore off quite quickly. It made my lips feel pretty dry afterwards, odd since this contains dimethicone. It’s ok but I wouldn’t purchase this. There are better matte lip balms. #influenster #NYX #NYXsmushy

Maybe color shades are more fun, but transparent one feels a little useless to me since it doesn’t provide enough moisture. However, it works nice as a primer, so you can use it before applying heavy matte drying lipsticks.
