Q: Are these swivel hangers? In otherwords, can I turn the metal hook around?

A: They are not intended for swiveling the hook. You can do it but it loosens the hook and will at some point break off. The more often one swivels the hook, the sooner it will break off.

I bought these hangers while moving as I was going to have a bigger closet and had more space to hang clothes up instead of in drawers. By the time I made it to the new apartment the bottom bar of the hanger completely snapped off! The hangers are still usable as the top piece and arms are still in tact. You need to be gentle with these and handle with care. They are sensitive like us.

Wish I could find the flocked hangers for shirts only again. Sometimes harder to get shirts only on these that are made to also be used for slacks. I do love that clothes do not slide off these hangers and they take up less room on the rod.

The velvet flocking sheds & comes off easily… and just FYI, if you’re someone who has a certain style & color scheme for your closet, if you’re buying these as extras to match existing ones, the hooks on these are BLACK… Not Chrome / Silver, like these used to be, or like you find everywhere else any other time.
