Q: Are these swivel hangers? In otherwords, can I turn the metal hook around?

  • A: They are not intended for swiveling the hook. You can do it but it loosens the hook and will at some point break off. The more often one swivels the hook, the sooner it will break off.

    Perfect for sweaters.

    I use these exclusively for sweaters that really should be folded (too heavy or delicate for regular hanging). We don’t have the drawer space for all our bulky winter stuff, so these are a good solution. They are sturdy enough for even my chunkiest tunic length wool seaters, the flocking keeps items from sliding off, and the slimness seems to minimize the hanger fold mark that’s typical of other kinds. And no overstretched knits or pucker marks on the shoulders. All my other clothes are on slim wood or bamboo hangers, but the ones for sweaters or trousers all seem to be slippery, bulky, and expensive. These are great for now, even if they are not as pretty or environmentally friendly.
