I thought this item would be perfect since it had three different connections, but the big drawback is that you still need a USB-A adapter to charge the device. With the new USB-C cables and chargers it's hard to find one with USB-A now. Luckily I still have saved one from long ago. Also the directions never mentioned that you would need a USB-A adapter to charge the product.

The color is great; stands out from my husband's charger, the reason I chose it. Always liked Otterbox products to protect phones and tablets. However not happy with charger. I charged it up, used it once at home to test it out with phone, then tablet. Perfect. Arrived on my Christmas vacation went to use it, it doesn't charge anything. I verified I had all the correct adapters, but nothing works. I assume its too late to return and probably a hassle, too.

Purchased 6 months ago. The USB C has never recognized my devices; other connectors of cord only work intermittently. So not reliable for travel. Wish I would have returned.

The main cord on the three-tiered cord is the one with which you will charge the battery with, and the remaining two are a Samsung device-compatible charging tip, or an Apple device-compatible charging tip. These are interchangeable based on which device you are needing to charge. If none of the lights on the battery are lighting up, then the product needs to be charged before use. This is a nice product. The battery is small enough to carry in a shirt pocket and appears to have enough juice for normal travel needs. The cord is a bit stiff but the three way charging options offer so much flexibility it’s worth it. It’s especially convenient for in-house charging of non phone equipment like a rechargeable Roku battery. For price, convenience and flexibility it’s pretty hard to beat.
