A: The actual answer to your query is no cds on their own are about 4.5 inches across if you take them out of their covers and put them in clear sleeves they measure just over 5"across and 5.5" long!

These are GREAT for storage all through the house! I use them to store snacks in the pantry, soaps, lotions, washcloths and small towels in the linen closet, makeup and toiletries in the master bath, etc. They seem very sturdy and well made for the price. As I organize more and more through our new house, I am sure I will find more and more uses for these versatile little bins!
