    Breaks and scratches easily

    Love the color and feeling of the dinnerware. However, scratches very easily, I put it in the microwave for one minute and it split right in half! I only had them for three or four weeks at the time that happened too, I was going to get a refund but realized it was past the return date!

    Great value for the price but keep Bar Keepers Friend on hand!

    I recently picked up the Avesta in Light Green and you really can’t beat the $25 price tag. As someone who did pottery in college, I’m usually pretty picky about glazes. I actually chose this set over more expensive ones because the glaze was much more uniform; many of the other "artisan" sets in-store had visible bubbles or pitting that I wasn't a fan of. One thing to note: The salad plates are a bit on the small side (more like a dessert or bread plate), so I’m planning to supplement with some larger 8.5" patterned plates to fill out the table. TIP ON SCRATCHES: Because this is a semi-matte stoneware, your silverware will eventually leave gray "pencil marks" on the surface. Don’t panic—it’s not a scratch! It’s just metal deposit. You can buff them right off with a little Bar Keepers Friend or a baking soda paste, and they’ll look brand new again.
