The black metal frame with the flickering LED light really makes a lovely addition to our outdoor patio. The lantern itself is no so overly large that it looks out of place as an accent piece, but it's just large enough to really make an impact on the look of our outdoor seating area. I love that at night you can just see the gently flickering of light. The lantern is light enough that you can move it from place to place without any problem. The light is good for several hours as well, so it works great as a decorative piece for outdoor dinners. This has just been such a nice addition for us. I just love it!

I haven’t decided if I will put it on my patio or use it as a decoration however I think it works better outdoor. It’s really cute and provides great light for the area it seems like it will last well outside.

It seems sturdy and well built. All it takes it 2 AA batteries. Once you turn it on it stays on for 6 hours then automatically shuts off for 18 hours. So then it come back on at the same time every night. Cool feature. I set it on our porch on a patio table as a centerpiece and it looks really good. We'll see how it holds it up in this tough southern weather but so far I have no complaints about the quality or functionality.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I ordered this light I thought it would be perfect to add to our outdoor patio space. I love it. It's bigger than I expected (picture with water bottle for size reference) and feels really sturdy. The candle flickers slightly, so it gives off this gentle flickering light like an actual real candle. I had two issues with the lamp, one was that the little latch doesn't really keep the door closed that well, but as long as you aren't opening and closing it all the time it shouldn't be an issue. Second was that it runs off two AAA batteries, and I think in this day and age of rechargeable products I would prefer something that doesn't use batteries, but maybe it's better for outdoor use. I still think this is a wonderful lamp and so beautiful and I'm really happy with it.

It is well made. I love that it automatically lights for 6 hours every evening. I never have to remember to switch it on or off. It is the perfect addition on my front porch. I love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just got this in yesterday. The Alpine Hexagonal Solar Metal lantern appears to be great quality. It was much heavier and sturdy than I expected. I am hoping it holds up outside come spring. It comes with a candle and takes 2 AA batteries (not included). Great quality and large lantern for bigger porches or if you're looking to make make statement.

First of all I have to say that the total look of this light is very nice. Perfect for my rebuild of my backyard. I have it sitting on the new block wall in the center for ambiance. Adds a real zen vibe with the glow of the light on the wall. I tied some heavy fishing line to the ring so that it does not tip over in the wind or earthquakes. I just tie it to the bush over the wall. Nice clear lens around each of the hexagonal edges. The frame is durable and will last for a long time. The black finish is really top shelf. Overall, the light is great for that modern classy look. Good enough to even use indoors if you choose to.
