Q: How many lines will fit on the plaque? Given 1" letters, and 12" usable board. Assuming 1/2 inch between lines, I'm guessing 8 lines. is this correct?

Buyer beware, the letters are atrocious
The letters that come with the board are terrible. Really should have read the reviews first. First, there are only pegs on the bottoms of the letters, some only come with a single peg. This causes them to spin and go upside (the P makes a better d with how easily it goes upside down. Second, the letters don’t line up that well. I believe this is because the letters have slightly different pegs, some being completely round and others being a wide and flat (much preferred). I would say they have different suppliers for some of the letters, otherwise why have a difference? Apparently this has been an issue for years, as the reviews go back to 2019. At least the board looks okay, but it’s not much good without letters that stand upright.

This board sucks. For the price you think it would actually be better quality. If you are laying the board down the letters do okay, the problem is if you want to set the board up. The letters like “T” for example with flip upside down. The fall because the only are supported by 1 peg. Other letters that stay in place have more than 1 peg on the pack of the letter. I will post a photo of the board up right and laying down.

Disappointing
We were excited to give this as a Mother's Day gift. It was perfect! But when we tried to put "Happy Mother's Day" on the sign, the P's in "HAPPY" kept falling over! The little tabs that hold the letters onto the board are on the bottom of the letters, so on letters that only have one tab, like P, T, and Y, there's nothing to keep the letters from falling over and hanging upside down. Sadly, we are going to return this item and search for another Mother's Day gift.
