Q: does the tree have a timer?

A: Correction.. That is incorrect my sister has one and it does have a 6 hour timer. It does turn off after 6 hours, it’s automatic.

Q: Does the try me button and whole chord come off? Can we get specific instructions on how to properly remove?

A: Hello Ct22 - Thank you for your Interest in 14.5in white ceramic Christmas tree! The try-me button cord with the white box can be completely removed before use. There is a clip where the try me wire is connected to the battery pack. The clip should be pressed and then pulled out at the same time to remove the try-me button. Hope this helps! - Eram

Q: What battery’s should I put in. I put in the 1.5 volt batteries and it isn’t as bright as the press me button.

It's beautiful and I love it. I was happy it had a 6 hour timer, but the batteries die in a week of having it on the timer, which makes me sad. I changed the batteries to energizer batteries after I noticed the original batteries dying. I put the new batteries in a week so and they're already dying. So if you buy this, don't use the timer or you'll be spending a fortune on batteries.

Such a beautiful addition to our indoor Christmas decorations. Yes, you have to remove the “try me” device. You have to pull the connection (fuse) from the bottom of the tree. Then you have to add 3 AA batteries. Once you do this, you can select TIMER or ON. Timer allows the tree to be on for 6 hours it will automatically shut off and will turn back on in 18 hours automatically. It’s great! I love it!

This arrived "broken" in 3 different spots. Two of the lights had broken off and the star on top was broken. Though there was a lot of packing in the the box, I don't think it was the right kind. It didn't feel like it provided much cushion.I'll be returning it today.

This item was very poorly packaged and arrived broken. Fragile ceramic/glass items should be much better packaged using bubble wrap, packing peanuts etc in sturdy cardboard boxes rather than 1 round of plastic wrap that didn't totally even cover it. And the cardboard was way too flimsy for such a breakable item.

This tree is very cute, but it arrived with a broken star and one of the lights broken off, so it could have been packaged for shipping much better. Additionally, once I put in new batteries, they only lasted a few weeks before dying, even on the timer setting, and now it won't light up at all. I may try to pry off the bottom and put a strand of fairy lights in there, but otherwise it doesn't function as advertised.
