Great product
The best air conditioners I ever had. People with mold issues? You have to maintain your airconditioner. Duh I had my last one for many years and made sure it was cleaned every 3 months.

Silent and evenly cool
Overall, I am thrilled with my new AC unit. I am absolutely floored by how QUIET it is compared to my old, clunky window units. I like being able to control the unit with an app or remote or set a schedule. My only complaint is there is a bug that makes the settings reset after I set them - so I turn off the LED and sound and then, randomly, overnight, it will turn on and wake us up. I have been able to get around it by uninstalling and reinstalling in the app, but it's not perfect and I have to do that regularly. I want to replace all the units in my house with these based on how quiet and evenly cool the room is after using it!

Very quiet with good operating features
We have an old house built in the year 1900. So we have old windows. So fitting this unit required a little more work but we have found it worth it. Our other window units work but are much noisier. Plus the regular units that we have work on a thermostat that works in a range. The midea 8,000 BTU U-shaped Air Conditioner works to a temperature that you set. Better than that, it can work on the temperature that you set on the remote which you can place anywhere in the room. It is very quiet except when the compressor starts which sounds like a rattle like something is loose. But the compressor is so much quieter than the other window units we have owned. So far we like the unit and recommend it.

I love That I can open the window while the air conditioner is still in it. It is just about the quietest air conditioner for a window that I've ever heard. Extra great power and cooling.

An incredible AC unit upgrade
Bought this to upgrade a larger floor unit. In comparison this one is so quiet, has kept my whole 1 bedroom apartment much cooler through hot stretches, and just really has made summer more enjoyable! I also have noticed my electricity bills are lower than with the other one, even though I'm using it more. Would absolutely recommend. With the old windows in my unit, it took some creativity to install but manageable.

Moat Quietest and Energy Efficient Window A/C!
We were searching for a quiet a/c to replace our old Fridgaire a/c unit. After online research, we decided to buy a 8000BTU unit. We received 3 days after we ordered online. The installation was so easy and the unit was up running. What a quiet, powerful and energy efficient a/c! We connected thru Bluetooth and you can easily control the unit from anywhere. We were so satisfied to the point that we ended up buying a 12000btu unit. We are very happy with both of the units.

Love this AC!
I was looking for a replacement for my old, noisy AC unit when i read about the Midea I shape unit on Wirecutter New York Times website. Pausing after learning about potential mold issues but buying when i heard that problem was resolved. I couldn’t be happier with this AC. So quiet it’s almost sounds like its not on both inside and outside of the apartment. So very pleased i can watch TV with it on or play the piano without a steady drone of the old AC.

So far so good! It took far longer to install than I had expected, good thing there were two of us, but after a few hours we had it up and working. After a few weeks now, it's been quite effective on the hot days and nights.

Great Features, but be careful to tilt it right.
Unit came already banged up in the back, which is cosmetic and I do not have to look at it, so I did not send it back. Also, the tilt is not right in the description, in order to make the water flow out, you need to tilt the unit more than per manual. Otherwise, the unit is quiet and has nice features.

So Cool and Quiet
Unfortunately, I had two Midea air conditioners that were recalled. I decided to replace them with Midea air conditioners because they cooled off my apartment quickly and were so very quiet. The quietest air conditioners that I ever had. I just hope that, at some point, these are not recalled as well.

Great 8000 btu window air conditioners!!!
Great air conditioners so far. Had no issues connecting both of them to my android app. I have 3 networks in my house so i have to switch networks to connect. I think i can set up the other networks to work also but i have not tried as yet. Still the AC's are working great. Very silent at night when you have them setup that way. I do hear some osscilations at times like something is off balance but not really loud disturbing yet. Hope it doesn't get worse. As for now I'm very happy with my purchase. Great looking and usable phone app. Thankyou!!!

Can't beat them!
Replaced my recalled unit with a new one off the website and im happy I did. Updated UI, drain plugs and ease of installation onto my existing bracket made it an easy choice!

Great quiet ac!
After reading about the recall, and found out they were on sale, I rushed to get one after the heatwave. I simply removed the blue drain plug and left it open. Works great, slight jimmying to make it fit in a 40” wide window but it did. Quiet, cool, nicely done!

Great AC!
I got the new model today, and i really liked it. It is very easy to install tho requires two people to move it. It is super quiet and cools fast. Multiple options for cooling and temperature displays. The app is also a nice addition to the product. More importantly, it is very cheep compared with other brands and delivery is fast. For example, I lived in MA, it only takes 4 days to get my home. Overall, this is a highly recommended product.

Mold issue recall.
I loved this AC u it. But it was recalled for mold issues. Unless they fixed the mold issue. I would buy one again.

Not durable…
I bought three units in 2022. The mold issue is real. You can’t clean it without disassembly. Tried cleaning through the front with long qtips to no avail. The only way is to disassemble so the blower housing can be removed and be washed properly. The outside component is rusting at the bottom even though it’s sloping as per instructions. No longevity whatsoever.
