The black lines are sewn in and make it look like a basketball. It is big enough for little kids and big kids alike. I love the bright vibrant, orange plush Material! He has quite a few different sports plush balls that he keeps in his room. These are great for using as pillows or the kids use them to play with. So far, I have only spot clean this. It is fifteen inches- actually it was much bigger in person than I thought it was going to be. It is incredibly soft and squishy, which I didn’t know if it was going to be.
