  • A: How can it possibly hold a 20lb tank? Standard 20lb tank is 17"T x 12"W. The whole fire column is only 17"T x 9"W. That's the reason we are buying it. It's small.

Q: Do You screw the 1 pound propane tank in to the right? I think gas screws in the opposite direction, but I can't get my 1 pound propane tank to bite the threads and screw in HELP please!

  • A: Hello, to ignite the 17" Pipestone Outdoor Column Fire Pit – Gray by Threshold™, begin by locating the control knob on the unit. Push the knob in and turn it counterclockwise to the “ignite” position. While holding the knob in, either press the built-in ignition button (if your model includes one) or carefully use a long lighter to light the burner. Keep the knob pressed in for approximately 30 seconds to allow the thermocouple to warm up and ensure the flame stays lit. After releasing the knob, you can then adjust the flame to your desired level. Always follow the safety instructions in the user manual during operation. Q: We cannot seem to keep the flame lit. I can light it, hold the control knob for 15 (often more) seconds but as soon as I let go of the knob the flame dies out. Any suggestions?

Bought on sale for Memorial Day and didn't work immediately out of the box. It makes a buzzing sound while turned on that we cannot turn off. The nozzle to turn on is also iffy on day 1. It does not have any barrier between the flame and could be dangerous around pets or children. Will return this product.

I like the size. Not only is it supposed to be a table fire pit but I think it’s just as good or even better on the ground. With a few people sitting it. I haven’t added the rocks yet. I will add them. I enjoy it the way it is.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed using this. It works great and actually provides heat which I was absolutely not expecting. It was a good flame, surprisingly enough to keep you warm and more than enough to roast a marshmallow on for those nights that you don't want to smell like / do the work of having a bonfire, but the kids want s'mores. It's well made, easy to use and easy to maneuver. It is kind of small for our space - it was an awkward size where I had a tough time figuring out exactly how I wanted to place it on our deck. If purchasing, make sure you have a small propane tank ready and I recommend buying beads or something to replace the rock for aesthetic purposes (but the rock works perfectly).

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an excellent choice for a portable "fire pit". The design is beautiful and works in a variety of different styled spaces. This would be perfect for a deck area or driveway. It is very light so you can easily carry it from front yard to back or vice versa. We plan on taking ours with us to the lake house. Even though it is fairly small, it provides a surprising amount of heat and light. The surface scratches fairly easily, but Project 62 includes a matching touch up marker. We really enjoy being able to move this around with ease. The only downfall is the rocks don't stay in the top of the fire column very well. There is not a deep enough space for them. A few rocks will stay well. You do need to purchase a small propane tank however these are readily available at many stores. I would highly recommend this fire column and am happy with this product!

This is great. It's modern looking, but a subtle grey color to blend in nicely with outdoor decor. It comes assembled, so it is simple to put up right away (given you already have a small propane tank for inside - if not, get one!). It's small enough to sit on an end table, but large enough to be noticeable. It's easy to light and extinguish, and is great for an outdoor gathering or relaxing evening. I like that it is easy to move so we can take it from out back to out front with ease. That way we can enjoy cool evenings out front with our neighbors. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a small fire tower.

A great addition to our patio. It has a slim design and provides heat without taking up too much space. It is relaxing to sit and watch in the evenings while keeping the chill off. It is relatively easy to move and reposition on the patio as needed.
