Q: I feel ridiculous asking this, but where is the switch to turn it on? I know it’s probably somewhere obvious but my daughter and I can’t find it. Please help! 🙃

A: Thank you for your interest in this product. There is a switch (check the right side of the product) that will need to be on "OFF" before removing the Try Me button. You will need to pull out the small white connector on the battery box, by pulling on the sides of the connector. While the product is still switched to "OFF", insert the 3 batteries needed. You may then turn on the product by rocking the switch to ON (I) or the TIMER (II) position. This sign is beautiful. It is a great price for what it is and it lights up beautifully, aesthetically pleasing and I like that there is no cord. However, getting the sign took some work. I ordered the sign with two white sparkly Christmas trees and all of them arrived severely damaged. I ended up ordering the sign at least twice, each time the sign arrived damaged with pencil drawn all over it or big scuff marks across it that wouldn't erase. Super disappointing to try multiple times and get a damaged product each time. I gave up on ordering it through the mail and did in store pick up at my local store and that's when I finally received the non damaged version, thankfully. The Christmas items are great this year, (think trendy pretty items--big sparkly Christmas trees, light up white birch trees etc, led flickering hanging snowflakes--they've stepped it up in that way) they just need to have more quality control when shipping items out, use bubble wrap and pack items carefully.

Very pretty and so far sturdy. This lighted Christmas countdown arrived in excellent new condition as expected. The finish is a little bit more farmhouse/ weather than I expected, but it's still pretty. Our family, especially our 6 yo and 5, loves the unique way to count down to Christmas. The countdown is very cute and has a lot of potential. I was super excited to hang it up and get it ready for display. Except, it wouldn’t work. Went through 5 sets of batteries and not so much of a flicker. Thankfully the return was easy, so 5 stars for Target. If you enjoy gambling, it may be work purchasing to see if you get a working unit or not. If not, stray away. I imagine longevity of this unit will be an issue.

The lights don’t work. There’s an internal problem with mine. I’m going to try and fix because otherwise it’s perfect. The electrical is not. Fresh batteries, changed three times before I realized it is the wiring. If I push on the battery pack they will flicker for a second.
