5 stars, great movie all around
My veteran & military buff husband got this from the kids for Christmas. He loved it. Accurate historical aspect, good character development, well-written story & lots of big actors making cameos in small, short roles. We enjoyed it and will watch it again, which we don’t usually do with movies.

Basically the Film wasn't the problem, But the portrayal of the film was, plus the ending was just not perfectly thought though. That's my opinion on the movie. Is it worth $$$it? I say no. Wait for it to go way down.

Great Movie
This movie is riveting. The directing and cinematography is A-1. I am a film buff so I take features like this seriously. The story line is very simple, about a messenger who needs to get his message across. But it full of excitement, and at times leave you at the edge of your seat by the protagonist braveness.

Amazing movie!
This is a very well written movie. It takes on a completely different story line than you would have thought watching the trailer and even though some people say it’s slow, its not. It focuses on one specific moment that will resonate with you.

A great WWI film
I saw this movie in theaters when it came out and had to have it on DVD. It is visually stunning and a very fascinating story. George MacKay is fantastic and there are several cameos by very famous British actors (Benedict Cumberbatch, Colin Firth, etc.) Lots of violence and some gory moments so if that bothers you, this is probably not for you.

Astonishing WW1 movie
This movie is one of those very few that includes very little to almost no special shortcuts. Felt so realistic and very intense. To portray such movie with not many, if any computer graphics, this movie is respectfully well made and done. From start to finish, astonishing. Wish it was a bit more longer but it’s well written and filmed. Highly recommended.great character and great screenplay
