It's very thin and does the job of keeping items in my trunk from sliding around. Had I purchased this mat for my kitchen floor, I don't believe that it would be effective.

I've used these mats for many years. The version that is being sold now is terrible. It is completely non-absorbent. I keep a mat in front of my dogs, feeding bowls. I slip walking on it because it stays wet and slimy. The other ones absorbed water, which is these types of mats are meant to do. Do not purchase this to use where it might get wet. It's not even safe. Bring back the old style Target!

Impractical Kitchen mats
Just purchased 2 of these Polyurethene kitchen mats 2 days ago for in front of our sink and stove and we are already very upset with them. When some oil got splattered on them, we tried cleaning them with dish soap and water, but to no avail. So I don't know how you can call this a kitchen mat if it can't take spills that can be cleaned up. This was a big waste of money.

We've had this rug for a bit. Recently it stuck to our floor and left a terrible residue. I was never impressed by this rug, now I'm just disappointed.
