This hedge trimmer, and the pole saw I purchased around the same time, have been an absolute joy to use. It's rare for me to reach summer without a back injury, but so far so good, and I'm grateful for these tools. I don't have to get on ladders and I don't have to squat or bend with my big hedge trimmer. I also have the 40v string trimmer and leaf blower, and i swear these lightweight, battery powered tools have turned yard work from a chore to a hobby. Best tip: Practice balancing the tool - it's not as heavy as it feels.

I am a healthy 68 old woman that purchased this trimmer. It works well and does a good job The biggest problem is it’s too heavy. Aldo when you angle the trimmer it’s even more difficult to use Maybe you need a petite size model

If you have 11 foot shrubs, you can trim the sides but not the top, so the ad is misleading. You still need a ladder to trim the tops of a tall hedge. I have the B&D pole chain saw with the extension pole but alas that extension pole is not compatible with this trimmer. Why not? Very frustrating. I also have the short chain saw, weed trimmer, and blower. Otherwise, for the hedge trimmer, it works well for as far as I can reach.

I am very disappointed in this product because the site says that it has an extension of 11 feet when the unit is only 6 1/2 feet long. There’s no way that I can go to 11 feet. This is false advertising. I always loved Black & Decker products, and this pole hedge cutter does work very well but it’s too short it’s not what was advertised. shame on you, black and decker!

I've used this a few times since purchase and am pleasantly surprised with it's function and battery life.

I got this to cut vines along a river edge that are too far out for me to get with just clippers. It went right through them. I will need to use it probably once a month to keep the vines in check, but it is easy to use and assemble so it will not be a problem..

I recently purchased this to make it easier for me to trim while standing on the ground. Works great and allows me to stop the balancing acts on my 8 ft ladder.

I bought this trimmer to do a lot of work at the house I bought. I bought it in April and have used it weekly ever since. I'm amazed at the battery life and how well it works as a cordless system. It's the perfect tool for what I needed it for!

I have several bushes on my property that I can not reach with my traditional hedge trimmer. I got this to solve this problem, and I am not disappointed. I enjoy the range of motion on the cutting head. The length of the blade is good, but the spacing between teeth I feel is a little short. The unit is a little heavier than I expected, but I have not found that to be too much of an issue. The regular 1.5 amp batteries work well, I can cut all the tall bushes on my property usually with one charge

purchased this unit to make it easier to reach higher with less strain on arms and back. I am currently using an Echo gas trimmer and is fine for jobs close to the ground but can get tiresome when holding above your head or stretching to reach outward. This B&D has its purpose for jobs that requiring reaching high and wide. At 7.7 pounds it will not wear you down. I've looked at gas pole hedge trimmers and found them to be very heavy. After using the B&D the first time for 1 hour I found it to do the job intended and with much ease. Try it you'll like it!

I have an older model that included both and blade cover for protection and a storage bag. Sorry to say not with the current model.

Was not as light weight as depicted in website it equivalent to having a12 lb. weight on the end of a pole very difficult to control.Additionaly the product cannot be used without the pole. This makes it very difficult to use in tight spaces.

I've used this on an 8 ft bush, a 7 ft bush, and 5 ft bushes that were 3 1/2 ft deep and about 25 ft long, and it worked well on all and never had to charge the battery. It's best to trim slowly as the blade speed isn't very fast. On the 5 ft bushes, it was a little cumbersome trying to trim and hold the trimmer. The trimmer is top heavy because of the motor so this makes it difficult to hold the trimmer while cutting bushes that are deep. All in all, it worked well and one I would recommend. I purchased the reconditioned model and couldn't register as such. I registered as regular trimmer so hope all will be well if warranty work is necessary.

My son bought this trimmer for me 4 years a go, because I have to trim a 60ft long and 10ft wise Juniper hedge in my backyard. I have NEVER had a more reliable or BETTER cordless trimmer! It is as Sharp today as the first day I used it! B&D has a real Winner in this trimmer. Batter performance is a 100% to the end of charge! Rusty55
