Q: Can the wiring be left inside the back of the basin even with the water inside? Or does it all need to be left outside?
A: Hi, thanks for your question. The pump need to be put inside of the back of the basin with clean water 3/4 full, and the pump is fully submerged for proper operation.

Q: This says, "The solar battery charges in one day under direct sunlight and lasts for 4-5 hours at night." Does it actually have a timer that can be set?
A: Hi There, this fountain does not features with a timer. The solar battery should be fully charged if placed under direct sunlight for one sunny day.

Q: How much water is required to fill the bottom bowl? Can I fill the bowl while I'm waiting for the pump to power up?
A: Hi There, kindly be advised that the water level should be approximately 1 in. / 25 mm lower than the top edge of the opening at the back of the basin. And you can fill the bowl while waiting for the solar panel to be fully charged, but kindly be reminded to leave the switch in the "OFF" position for 2 sunny days to ensure the battery is fully charged for first use.
