A: Dear customer, thank you very much for your interest in our bookshelf and for your questions regarding its installation! First, we would like to clarify: this bookshelf has a self-weight of 46 lbs (approximately 20.87 kg), and we do not recommend using standard wall-mounting methods for installation. The primary reason is the risk associated with weight-bearing safety. The combined weight of the 46 lbs bookshelf itself plus the weight of the books it will hold far exceeds the safe load-bearing capacity of most non-load-bearing walls in homes. Long-term use under such conditions could lead to fixture loosening, wall damage, or even the bookshelf detaching, posing potential safety hazards. Secondly, the installation requirements are quite demanding—the process is not only difficult to execute but also challenging to ensure long-term stability. Therefore, we strongly recommend using it as a freestanding unit or placing it against a wall with additional support for enhanced safety and stability.
