Q: How do you get the dangling strands to actually dangle? They're all bunched up in a tangle and refuse to just hang straight down. Please advise because right now they're not very icicle-y looking.

A: I beg to differ. I've had these outside the box for 2 weeks and have stretched and twisted them every which way and they won't straighten out or dangle.
submitted byIceElf - 1 year agoA: Stretch it from end to end so it’s straight and you’re hands free, then use a blow dryer to heat the wire as you tug lightly on each icicle.

Fuses Continually Blow
For one these are extremely cumbersome to unwrap, each individual “icicle” has to be unwrapped and stretched out separately. They look okay initially but the fuses continually blow. We had to change 5 out in one night before they just completely stopped working 3 hours out of the box. Total waste of money. All our other lights are completely fine except for these so it’s not the house/power set up. Returned to the store

Just be aware that each icicle bundle needs to be unwrapped/untwisted/stretched out. Hanging these is not a quick project. And the icicle doesn’t hang properly until the wire relaxes. As for the product, some lights are constant, some flash. The twinkle effect is good but quick-moving.

can't string together other lights
I’m so mad. The icicle parts don’t dangle because they’re all scrunched up. Thought they’d fall once it had a chance to rest but there’s been no change so they don’t look like icicles. they look a mess. AND the extender outlet side of the string is for a plug that has two small prongs, not the standard prongs that are one big/one small. The other string lights are the same brand but won’t connect to this one. make it make sense target!!!

Mini Christmas Clumps
Good luck getting these to straighten out and hang properly and actually dangle. Mine have been up outside for a couple of weeks and have stayed in gnarly little bunched-up clumps. The brand expert said they would hang after a while and that you could stretch them gently. I've stretched and twisted them every which way and no go. I got some wooden shish kebab skewers and threaded them through the wires - all 60 of them - and some of them hang down straight but others jut out at a weird angle and don't really look right. Plus it was super time-consuming and much more time than it makes sense to spend on Christmas lights not to mention the time spent writing this review. Kinda sorry I bought these.
