35L Travel Backpack - Open Story™

A: It will on certain airlines. I flew twice with spirit and didn't have any issues with this. It's about an inch taller than personal item list but not one enforced that at the airports I travel too.

A: I just flew on United - who seems to have pretty strict personal item size limitations: 9x10x17. I also purchased their basic economy ticket where I am only allowed a personal item. The bag does fit underneath the seat - however you cannot stuff it and you must use the compression straps on the sides.

A: I have been able to place this under the seat with the following airlines: Southwest, Alaska, and Spirit. It has always been used as my personal item. Just don’t overstuff it and use the straps on the sides to compress it.

A: Dimensions given by the airline are rarely enforced. I've been flying with a bag with similar dimensions for five years, across many US/Euro budget airlines, and never had an issue.

A: It fits on Allegiant Airbus 320 planes.

A: I've used this on "standard" airlines like Delta or Alaska. While it's chunky have always fit it under the seat with no issue.

A: I put my clothes in and then used the side buckles to “compress” bag a bit.. Frontier air is notorious for checking the dimensions and this fit in their personal item box.

A: If you fly budget airlines it will not be allowed because they don't allow as much space as the major airlines which all give you 22" for carry-on.

A: it depends on the airline. For southwest, it's allowable as a carryon but not as a personal item that fits under a seat. They state that it must fit 16.25” (L) + 13.5” (W) + 8” (H).

A: Check your specific airline! Airlines can be hit or miss with enforcement of carryon and personal item sizes, but going over is a gamble - if they catch you over the limit, it will be VERY expensive.

A: No, absolutely not! I purchased this bag today, April 10 2023. the bag exceeds the limits for personal item. Personal item must not exceed 18x14x8. Returning ASAP.

A: I have personally use this bag for spirits, Southwest, united and Alaska and nobody has ever said anything to me. I use it as my personal bag and it fits fine underneath my seat. I definitely overpack it and I use the straps. 

A: Yes it will fit underneath an airline seat.

A: It depends on what you would need to access. The front (smaller) pocket opens like a backpack zip pocket. The main (larger) compartment opens like a suitcase.

A: Pack the items you'll need most toward the top of the main compartment, and leave all of the zippers closed at the top. Gear will be accessible by opening the main compartment partially from top.

A: There are 2 slim full size( 1 laptop and 1 other) compartment and 1 small zip that open from the top. Enough place to keep phone, earphones, snack bar, glasses, gloves, keys, lipstick, iPad,laptop, etc items that you might need during a flight

A: No water bottle pocket. Could use a carabiner to hang a water bottle from the backpack strap, or compression strap.

A: That's the one thing this backpack really is missing. It should have a water bottle holder on the outside.

A: There is no waist belt, but there is a buckle/strap across the chest that adjusts up & down.

A: It does not, sadly. It has a mesh zipper separator that is in place but nothing that vacuum seals.

A: You can unclip the straps from the bottom of the bag and tuck them into the panel at the back of the bag.

A: The clips can release the backpack straps and you can tuck them behind the padded back, so they don't get tangled when checking the bag, or stowing it as carry-on.
