Each lamp is constructed from white finish ceramic, with a scalloped pattern on the body that adds a wavy look. Q: I want to turn these lamps on and off via the light switch on the wall. Will this work or does the dimmer switch prevent this?

A: Hi - yes, you can operate these lamps from an outlet that is controlled by a wall switch. Remember that if you have the lights in the off or fully dimmed position you won't see them light up until you adjust the dimmer. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - there is no on-off switch at the socket. You control the lamps by using the dimmer control that is on the cord. Thank you for the question.

Perfect!
Amazing! Literally arrived like 2 days after I ordered them. Perfect for my small room. I have a full size bed and they compliment perfectly on my bed side tables. I like that they give different shades of light. You can set them at soft or all the way to bright.

Sent to my great niece as a surprise. She is in Pennsylvania and I am in Texas. She is setting up her first apartment and needless to say, she was thrilled! She placed in her bedroom and says they look fabulous. So easy to ship to someone plus no charge on the item for shipping.

Not the Greatest
The lamps arrived on time and undamaged. One of them seems to have some little off/on/bulb issues. What I don't like about them is the location of the cord. It hangs in back and means reaching the on/off/dimmer switch difficult. You need two hands to turn it on and off. The price was fine but the location of the switch is tiresome. I would not buy them again.

Cute lamps but the dimmer and cord are not that attractive
Lamps are for guest room and they are pretty cute. My only complaint is that the cord could have been clear and that the dimmer a little less cheap looking. You can see all the stuff inside the dimmer and its about 12 inches from the base so it drops behind the side table.

I like the lamps. But, I have a suggestion....The SWITCH should be close to the base so I don't have to continually lean over and pull the cord up so I can change the setting. JUST A THOUGHT. My only complaint is that there were no instructions as to what bulbs I can use. I had to call in and a very nice young lady set me on the right path. Azever, Bev.
