I bought this lamp for my elderly disabled Aunt who lives with me. One evening a heavy breeze blew through her bedroom window knocking the lamp over where the shade fell off and the lamp became wedged against the side of her bed and turned itself on. In the less than 30 seconds it took for me to go in her room to investigate the noise, the lamp had burned through her bedding and set fire to her mattress. I am so grateful that this happened when I was home and when she was not in the bed. But the fact remains that it could have happened at a time when she was alone or noone else was at home and I could have not only lost her, but my home, my pets and everything I own. THIS LAMP IS DANGEROUS !!!!!

Just bought this lamp to go with my other brushed nickel table lamp. Lamp has a very nice contemporary design. I bought it because of the touch on off feature. Brought home and tried it out but lamp does not touch on. Tried several times, touched and grabbed it still did not turn on. Have to return.
