A: Hi - the bases are all assembled, you just have to place the shades on top of them and secure them and insert a bulb. Pretty easy to do, and doesn't take much time at all. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - these are touch lamps, but you should be able to use them with a line cord dimmer. Just make sure that the bulbs are dimmable and that they are compatible with the dimmer type.

Nice lamp--needs different bulb
The lamps are of decent quality however the included halogen bulbs are 3000 lumens which while bright has a cold LED quality and are harsh on the eye. I've just ordered different bulbs to see if bulbs of 2700 lumens are bright enough yet warmer than these. I would not recommend the standard bulbs for reading.

Bulbs aren't replaceable.
They were great while they lasted. Bulb went out on one after 6 months. Bought a replacement bulb and it didn't work. The other lamp went out and the replacement didn't work on that one either. They are expensive temporary touch lamps.

Perfect!
I have a newborn that sleeps in a bassinet beside my bed. I turn the light on to keep me awake when it’s time for a diaper change and a feeding, but every time I laid her back down and turned off the lamp, the click made her jump. I needed a touch on/off lamp, NOT a dimming one that has to be tapped 3 times to turn off. It was so hard to find the right lamps, but these are it! Completely quiet when I turn the light off!

Out of the box - Perfect
Excellent packaging... I unpacked both lamps, shades and two halogen bulbs...I inserted the 40 watt bulbs into slotted halogen bulb base inside lamp shades (BEFORE connecting units to wall outlets)...then I connected each table lamp to a convenient electrical wall outlet. The two layer lamp shade does a very nice job of lightly tempering the brilliance of the clear halogen bulb into a nice soft glow. Lots of light but easy on the eyes.

Fire hazard! Lamps get very hot and one of them even started smoking after being plugged in for just a few minutes!

Lamps are nice for the price, but not nice enough with out the bulbs
I like the lamps, they are the perfect size for our bedside tables, but the description says they come with the bulbs. That’s why I ordered them, they are specialty bulbs that aren’t sold everywhere. My lamps did not come with two bulbs and the closest store that sells them, is about 20 miles away. AND they are about $10 per bulb. I’m debating returning the lamps because of the cost

We love the mini accent lamps. They are perfect for our newly remodeled white quartz kitchen. Love the brushed silver, & classy soft silky shades. But most of all I love the touch feature to turn on the lamps. They also give out a soft white light. Best purchase ever!!!

These lamps don’t take standard bulbs! Unhappy with this purchase!

Hi Dea - you are correct, these lamps use G9 base halogen bulbs, not standard base bulbs. This type of bulb is readily available online or in hardware stores, so you should have no trouble finding replacements for them should the need arise. ALMOST BURNT THE HOUSE DOWN
One lamp did not work at all. Second day of trying to use the other lamp smoke started billowing from the light bulb socket area. quite a shock purchased before never had a problem with the other purchase made. Back to the drawing board I guess or Underwriters Laboratory.
