A: Hi - these are ceiling light fixtures designed to be used on their own, they are not designed to be used with a ceiling fan.

A: Hi - yes, these designs have an open bottom, so if you stand under them and look up you would see the light bulbs.

A: Hi there - sure, you can use these designs with a wall dimmer switch. If you plan to use LED bulbs, just make sure that the bulbs are dimmable and that the dimmer switch is compatible with them. Thanks for the question!

Try Using a Silver Bowl Light Bulb
We quickly realized after installing that something was needed to reduce the harsh light bulb glare of the open bottom. Try as we might, we couldn't find a way to add a diffuser so instead focused on light bulbs. After much trial and error, we found that 'silver bowl' light bulbs worked well. Some light output/ brightness is definitely lost, but it creates softer lighting that is easier on the eyes. (We purchased clear *globe* silver bowl LED bulbs for a more finished look.)
