The brown top is darker, closer to a walnut brown, which I was really happy about! The instructions say not to tighten the screws until the end, but I found that the legs should be tightly screwed and everything else can be tightened later or else it can be wobbly. I had to disassemble and then reassemble since this is the first part needing to be put in (but maybe I was tired from putting together various furnitures for a new move). I screwed the legs on by hand and made sure the holes holding the shelf were pointed inward and then held it in place while I tightened with the Allen wrench. There were a couple of dull/scuff marks on the table top but it was such a great price and it’s not noticeable. Overall it’s a good size for a small apartment. Perfect for 2 people in a corner but can easily fit 4 seats. Super cute!
