This piece was lower quality than expected for the price. The stickers peeled off paint so future buyers will need to be very careful when removing them. The unique design is great and it was no problem to put together.

This is a great, sturdy shelf. I used it for books and a few decorative items and it seems to hold up well even when loaded with heavier books. The finishes are nice as well. I was really impressed by the thought that went into packaging and assembly. My box had a dent when it arrived, but there was no damages to the pieces inside since it had been packaged so well. In terms of construction, only screws are used, they provide an Allen wrench, the pieces are clearly labeled with stickers, and best of all, the pieces are finished on all sides, so it's pretty impossible to put together incorrectly. The only slight negatives you should be aware of are that the screws will be visible on the top. However they are black so they don't stand out way too much. Overall a great piece for the money, and seems durable enough to load down with books!

I set it on its side by my front door to organize my shopping bags, outgoing mail and personal items, keeping shoes by the door, etc. it works great on any side!
