The 40" Astrid Mid-Century Round Dining Table with Fixed Top Natural is made of Rubberwood and we suggest that you clean your rubberwood furniture by wiping it with a cloth that has been soaked with soap and water from time to time, then use a clean dry cloth to wipe it off as leaving water on the surface for a long period of time is bad for your furniture. I loved the design of the table. I was disappointed to see a clear coating that almost looked oily all over the table top. They were hexagon shaped and looked to have been marks coming from the interior of some of the cardboard in the packaging. I tried removing with soapy warm water but had no luck and ended up returning. After reading more reviews, it seems to be a defect in the manufacturing or shipping process. I wouldn’t recommend getting this table for that reason.

I like this table for my breakfast nook area and it’s cute but like other reviews have said there are lots of oily marks on the table top that I cannot get off. It’s annoying because you can see them clear when light shines through the house :(

Item arrived damaged. To return it, only the table - not the shipping to get it to my house is covered. So now I have the hassle of repackaging it, going to Target to return it, and am still out my original shipping cost. I will not be purchasing from Target Online again. Amazon is much better.

Beautiful sturdy table! Great size for small apartment. I bought the walnut color. The color and wood grain exceeds expectations for the price (on sale). However, one star deducted because there are some shiny clear spots on the surface. Spots do not come off with damp cloth. I may try some wood cleaner later. The spots are not too noticeable nor bothersome.

While the quality of the table is great and sturdy for the price, I was severely disappointed by the color. It has a yellow / greenish tint to it, making it look offcolored and almost dirty. I took one look at it and immediately put it back in the box and returned. Super disappointed.

This is an absolutely beautiful, high-end looking table! Worked perfect with the chairs I ordered as well! It is heavy, solid wood I would recommend putting 1” wool furniture pads under the feet if you have wood floors, I happened to have had some. Perfect color that I was hoping for. Some complaining about some oily shiny little spots on the table. And yes I did have a few however, I can’t see them at all unless I stand at a certain angle and the sun or light is shining on it so I’m not bothered because I love the table!! so easy to put together took me just about 10 minutes, and I did by myself with no help. Fully recommend.

This is a very nice table sturdy not to heavy or light just perfect weight and size for my small condo . Easy to assemble just the legs is all u need to do I got the natural color which is not as pictured it’s a bit more in between light dark but not dark at all I actually liked it with the Kinston curve chairs I bought at target blend in perfect

It extremely difficult to find an affordable, round MCM-style table that isn’t MDF or soft pine. So I was pleasantly surprised by this find! The table feels sturdy, is solid wood, and was extremely easy to assemble. My only complaint is that, as many other reviewers mention, there are shiny splotches all on the surface of the table when viewed in certain lighting. It’s not a deal breaker but is clearly a manufacturing issue that Target should address. Otherwise, this table is perfect for what I was looking for!
