Q: How is it that the bench that seats 2 people has the same weight capacity as the chair that seats 1? So in reality, this set seats 3 adults? Because 2 average people easily weigh more than 250 pounds for that bench.

A: The industry standard weight limit for furniture is 250lbs. That doesn’t mean that is the highest weight that they can support, but it is what they are tested for. Weight limits are often set lower than they need to be anyway just as a precaution.

Bench broke in two months
Barely had the set for two months before the bench collapsed and broke on the legs. It is very weak and it does not look like there is any warranty to get it replaced. Now we are stuck with a table with only two chairs and no bench. Other than that I would have loved this table. It fits nice in our small dining room.

Broke within 2 months
When we got this item, it was nice enough; light, cute, and a good size for a smallish apartment. However, within 2 month of buying this, one of the chairs and the bench both broke. We are both average-sized, so there is no way we went over the weight limit. The legs snapped right in half, so it is not even possible for us to repair them. Thankfully, Target does have a good return policy.
