As with many of the previous reviews ~ loved the colour and aesthetic, but first attempts to light did not work. I was determined to try again, tilted upside down over a paper towel to catch the wax drippings and the wicks finally held the flame. NOTE - they do drip!! So be mindful of your table top / surface - tablecloths if your holder might not catch the drippings.

They don’t light. How bizarre. My husband had to take a knife to the top and chisel them to get them to light and stay lit. So we did get them “working” but we shouldn’t have had to take tools to a candle to get it to light… definitely would not recommend.

Beautiful...as decor
I bought these candles and the other Studio McGee candles that came in an autumn color like a deep orange. Those didn’t light at all, and seeing the reviews here, I’m sure it won’t be any different with these. It’s a shame because they’re beautiful as decor but not functional at all. They do go beautifully with the Christmas decor around the house, so I’ll keep them for the aesthetic. That being said, if you want candles that work do not buy these! But as decor, these are pretty.

$10 for 4 candles seems reasonable and the green ones are perfect for Christmas. Problem is the wicks won’t light on either. I tried with a traditional lighter and an electric to no avail. I like my candles not only for the esthetic but also for kids and lighting. Sadly had to return

Unique tapers
Other reviewers mentioned defective wicks but luckily this was not the case with mine. Nice design. Will see how they burn and whether they drip or not, but so far I like these tapers.
