52" Hinkley Hover Matte Black Wet-Rated LED Hugger Smart Ceiling Fan

I am very satisfied with the Hover Flush 52" LED Smart Fan. I was tired of fans that wobble, pull chains that break, and light bulb changes that require an airplane mechanic's skill. This product solves all of those problems! I love that this fan won't wobble, due to the sturdy flush-mount motor housing. I love that all of the controls are on a wireless remote that is wall-mounted. I love that it is very quiet, even at high fan speed. It moves a lot of air but you can also dial it down to very low speeds. I also love that you can reverse the spin direction seasonally with just one button on the control. The remote control is easily installed on the wall and is held in place with a magnet, giving you the flexibility to remove it (if you're not afraid of losing it...). Some reviewers found the beep sound annoying but it's not very loud and didn't bother me at all. It only beeps when you turn the fan or light off/on or reach the top/low fan speed and light setting. There are supposed to be multiple settings for light brightness and fan speed but it's not clear what level you are on (there are no indicators) - you just "eyeball" it. The light is ok but I wouldn't count on it to illuminate a room - you need other "layers" of light sources. It took our handyman about an hour and a half to remove our old fan and install this one, and he didn't have any trouble. One recommendation after installation: power off and go through the pairing process. The control appeared to be automatically paired initially, but the response was spotty until we powered off and went through the pairing process. I highly recommend this product. I selected the matte black with koa blade finish for our great room and it looks sleek and blends well with my transitional/mid-century style.

These fans and lights are awesome and the controls are easy to use and easy on the eyes

I have worked in this business for over 20 years and purchased this for my own home. This fan is so quiet! The light has a warm dim feature which is tops! And the ease of use on the downloaded app or wall/remote that comes with it is great! Installed by my husband. They have a special feature which allows you to hook the motor on the box while making electrical connections which made the install a breeze (pun intended). Nicely thought out design with controller on wall or by smartphone app. Installation was tricky where instructions didn't match actual wiring and ceiling collar installation instructions were out of order, so we had to break the collar to get on instead of removing everything and starting over.

The fan is really nice. It's extremely quiet, and I love the 6 speeds for the fan. The Dual wall - remote to control the fan is nice and compact, and the app is easy and straightforward. Only thing stopping from a 5 rating was that the wrong screw cover ring was included in the package, and I had to wait a week until I could finalize installation.

We are very happy with our new fan. It's very quiet, stylish and has 6 fan speeds. I installed it myself and the instructions could have been a little clearer.

i'm a residential remodeler and i tell all my customers to get what they want because it's gonna last for a long time and you have to live with it. a ceiling fan is kind of a prominent fixed piece that most people take notice of when entering a room. this fan does not disappoint. installed in our own home; a full dormer 4 bed cape with a woodstove. pushes the air around really nice. a little too nice. we have a half-turn set of stairs in the middle of the house to access the second floor bedrooms etc. it took awhile to get the warm air from the woodstove upstairs with the previous fan. this fan is pretty much a direct vent to push air throughout the house. not the reverse setting. we found that it gets too hot upstairs if we keep the fan on setting three to push the air around. we use the lowest setting most of the time (SLOW) and setting two for a little while to push more air as necessary. the highest light setting is bright, but doesn't really light up a 13x15 room with an adjacent open concept kitchen. its adequate, but some low light accent lamps in the corners or additional 4" can lighting would be ideal. the dimmer settings are nice to set the mood in the evenings. while installing, i forgot to slide the accent cover ring over the motor before installing to the ceiling. don't do that. fairly easy install. motor felt beefy and like a quality product. fan blades are plastic that look like wood. still really good looking and thick. ceiling to lowest part of blade at motor attachment measures 9-1/4". the light lens measures about 6-1/2" diameter. ceiling to bottom of lens is 11-1/2" due to curve of lens. very quiet and don't even know its on unless you feel the breeze or look up. the wireless remote has about a realistic 20' distance to operate functions of the fan. having a remote to operate from the living room is pretty fancy. very happy and worth the splurge.

Right out of the box the fan looked good and it looks even better installed. A great upgrade from our previous fan.

Love the style and function but Huntley... HIRE SOME COMPETENT technical writers for install instructions! I be installed MANY ceiling fans in my life .. but since I don't do it regularly and use various brands I need to follow instructions. The simple task of installing the trim PRIOR to wiring and installing wasn't directed ... this I had to undo 20 minutes of work to put the trim on... a simple instruction / warning would have been nice and saved some tone...

This product is suitable for outdoor use however I installed it in my game room. The room has a low ceiling so a flush mount was perfect. The fan looks great in my chosen location but I would have preferred the blades to have been real wood. The installation instructions could have been more comprehensive. Having some experience with ceiling fan installations was helpful.
