52" Minka Aire Modern Indoor Ceiling Fan with LED Light Flat White Opal Glass for Living Room Kitchen Bedroom Family Dining House

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Simple to install, nice clean fan. Replaced the old with this one and its more powerful, more quiet!

This is the second MinkaAire Aluma fan I have purchased. The first I purchased several years ago, without the LED light, and it is still going strong. One reason I purchased it this time is that it does not require 3 wires in order for the light to work - and I did not want to pay an electrician to run a 3rd wire. The fan is easy to install, easy to use, and very attractive.

Clean modern look and fit nicely on our ceiling. Arrived quickly and easy install.

Works well - I wanted something that could keep me cool while I slept, but did not blow too hard, and this works well on the lowest speed (which is 4, not 1 as you would expect). A problem was that there is no remote control that comes with it, but my electrician hooked up a Hampton Bay Smart Wi-Fi Remote Control for it, so I can turn the fan and the light or both off and on from bed, without having to go to the switch. That does add to the cost, but it was worth it to find a light with a lamp that only had 4 blades and had 4 speeds.

not thrilled with the design of the minka aire aluma 52" fan. within the first week of it being installed by an electrician the fan started to make a creaking noise. it is in our master bedroom so any noises are heard at night. the design of the glass light cover was not well thought out. apparently the glass cover on occasion touches where the fan base spins and can make creaking noises. i figured out that if i ensure the glass cover is not too tight the fan will not make a creaking sound. good but i shouldn't have to do this with such a new fan.

This is the 2nd Mika Aire fan I have purchased. The fan looks great but it is very noisy. I Determined that the noise was caused by the glass cover for the light. I jumped up on a ladder and tried to reposition the glass and I finally got the noise reduced at least temporarily. Disappointed that Minka Aire does not have a better solution for this noise.

The fan is adequate but I feel the light is inadequate compared to the Minka fan/light combination that I previously had. Also seems from instructions that it will be an ordeal to change the lighting fixture should the light burn out.

Great fan! Looks beautiful, works great. Only complaint is the speed control is counterintuitive, the numbers go 4 slowest to 1 fastest and the switch goes in the opposite direction of the light dimmer.
