Poor manufacturing
I looked forward to receiving this and was so disappointed. After struggling to get the box in the house (It’s much heavier than the listing states) I opened it and unpacked the pieces. Every single shelf had large blemishes on both sides. Every single one. Then I had to repackage it and struggle like heck to get it in my vehicle and bring it to UPS. I am so disappointed. I considered ordering another to see if another bookcase had the same troubles (these reviews give the impression it would) but it’s not worth finding out because of how big and heavy they are. I don’t want to take the chance of having to struggle to physically return the package again,

Perfect Size and Depth
We needed shelves to hold photo books and it can be tricky to find shelving that is deep enough, but this is perfect. It's very solidly constructed. Took forever with the allen wrench because you can't spin it (a ratcheting one would be much easier) but went together pretty easily. There were a couple of scuffed edges and chips but luckily they were only on one side and since you can display it either way, we just flipped it so that side is against the wall.

Solid Shelf
Shelf appears to be of good quality, solid, and heavy. Assembly was much easier as a two-person job. The unit as a whole is on the heavier side, so having an extra set of hands is helpful. On ours, all of the pre-drilled holes lined up and the allen wrench provided was better quality than most. Deep enough to accommodate board games and sturdy enough to hold cookbooks.

I love the way this shelf looks. Perfect if you want to display lots of nicknacks. Overall I think it’s a beautiful piece of furniture. When I looked closely, there were some nicks/ scratches/ dents in the boards, but not too many and not big enough to be noticeable. It was easy to assemble, all the holes aligned perfectly. Just make sure not to tighten the screws fully until the end, otherwise the top or bottom screws might be difficult to screw in. I did it by myself in about 40 minutes. Surprisingly easy to maneuver once it’s put together too.
