9" Carvable Faux Halloween Pumpkin - Hyde and EEK! Boutique™

We loved this pumpkin! We painted it with mondo llama paint for a competition at my son’s school. Will buy again!

So here’s the deal! We love them for decoration but they’re extremely hard to carve. A kid can’t do it. I hosted a carving party and the parents had to do it. BUT for decor of pumpkins around the house they’re perfect!

I really wanted to try these because I hate the fact that real pumpkins just die after doing all the work of carving them. But these are nice because there not hard to use and they last forever. I definitely recommend them!

These smell toxic and are too difficult to cut for adults & kids. We threw them out.

We used this pumpkin for my son's Pumpkin Book Character project- we painted it silver and turned it into The Wild Robot! It held paint really well and honestly looked so nice when we were finished! The size is perfect, it's lightweight and sits really evenly on a base. No complaints at all!

It’s okay overall. It’s easier to deal with than the real ones and reusable but it has such a terrible toxic smell. It gave me a headache. I would recommend painting on it. Once you cut into it the smell overtakes the room. And I wanted to avoid the mess of carving a real one, but this one has its own mess. Prepare to sweep a lot after it.

Carved or uncarved this teal color is perfection! It’s so easy to carve and much less messy than an actual pumpkin.

Good decoration can use it as is, paint it or carve it for however it fits your need.

So happy to find this to put out each year - my son as food allergies, so I was so happy to find a teal pumpkin to signify to trick or treaters that we’ll have non-food items available. It’s cool that the pumpkin is carvable, but I don’t plan to carve it. Because of this, though, the pumpkin can easily get scratches/dents in it if you’re not careful. That’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.

Having a food allergy I appreciate Target having this pumpkin so I can let kids know I have allergy free treats. Sturdy, I can use it every year.

Very lightweight and easy to cut. I was surprised how messy it is though. After carving my pumpkin I had to vacuum the floor from the mess it made.

The pumpkin colors and concept is really cool. I love the idea of not cleaning up goop, BUT there are no tools to cut these with. Traditional dull, "child friendly" tools are too dull to work. If you buy the tiny pumpkin saws you have a better chance of completing certain shapes but you have to buy 3-5 of them because they break so quickly. The metal is bendy, eventually breaking off. The best way is using an electric saw, wood cutter, or bread cutter. Kids (9yo and under) cannot do this very easily. The saws are way too dull for it to make it through the design. This company needs to make special tools for these or make the pumpkin material less hard to cut. Regular pumpkins are easier and these were made to be easier than regular pumpkins.
