Q: How long does it last outside after carving before it starts to rot?

A: The material losted is Polyeurethane, so I don't think it will rot.

Hard to carve but perfect for decor
So here’s the deal! We love them for decoration but they’re extremely hard to carve. A kid can’t do it. I hosted a carving party and the parents had to do it. BUT for decor of pumpkins around the house they’re perfect!

Good but strong toxic smell
It’s okay overall. It’s easier to deal with than the real ones and reusable but it has such a terrible toxic smell. It gave me a headache. I would recommend painting on it. Once you cut into it the smell overtakes the room. And I wanted to avoid the mess of carving a real one, but this one has its own mess. Prepare to sweep a lot after it.

Perfect For My Allergy Kiddo
So happy to find this to put out each year - my son as food allergies, so I was so happy to find a teal pumpkin to signify to trick or treaters that we’ll have non-food items available. It’s cool that the pumpkin is carvable, but I don’t plan to carve it. Because of this, though, the pumpkin can easily get scratches/dents in it if you’re not careful. That’s the only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5.
