Let me preface by saying I’m not a picky eater. Things don’t usually bother me or give me the ick unless it went bad. This rice however?! Holy moly. This smelled like I was in a horse stable. That’s the only way I can describe what I just experienced. Apparently being a glutton for punishment, I decided to taste it thinking maybe it won’t taste bad…wrong. I spit it out and dumped the entire package down the disposal. I just…I honestly don’t know who thought this was a good idea.

It's delicious
I would prefer to buy this blend of rice uncooked so that I can make it myself. It would be cheaper and fresher. But since this is one of those quick rice options, we purchased it. However, i really wish they didn't add the salt to it yet. Then I could have this more often. this item has a high amount of sodium. Sodium makes peoples bodies retain water and that water causes weight gain.

As others have said, the smell & taste are just horrible. But the biggest issue—it has chicken in it!!!! As a vegetarian, I NEVER thought I’d have to double-check a package of RICE to ensure it doesn’t have some random powdered animal protein in it. I had already eaten a few bites once I found out. I looked at the ingredients again because of how bad it tasted. I’m extremely upset by that. Guess I need to check Target’s products a lot more since there is nothing to even indicate it would have meat in it. Even if you’re not a vegetarian, however, this is soo bad. It tastes and smells disgusting!! 0/10

Do not buy this rice. I followed the instructions on the back of the package correctly. Vent and microwave for 90 seconds. I obviously wasn't hard to do. As soon as I opened the package a disturbing smell hit my nose I'll never forget. This rice smelled like a dirty ashtray and I'm not exaggerating in the slightest. I thought it was just me so I tried a bite. Ugh! My family tried to eat it and couldn't. $1.89 may not seem like a lot of money to some, but when your on a budget and plan meals it's not a pleasant feeling to throw food out because it's inedible. This was a waste of money. I'd advise not purchasing this product.

This smells and tastes like a petting zoo, like manure. So much so that I wonder if mine was a bad batch or it had something in it. Ate two bites, threw the rest of it away. Very rare for me to give up on a food so quickly but I just couldn’t handle the stench.
