Good for premade but has an odd olive oil bite. Doesnt stand up!

I usually really like garlic, so I figured the reviews saying that this smelled and tasted bad were just people who didn't like garlic. I should have known better. This does indeed smell awful. But I thought maybe it would taste better, so I had a fork full. It tasted slightly better than the stench but still not very appetizing. But the texture was better than I expected, so I figured I could drown out the bad taste by covering it in sauce. I don't understand how the off flavor of the garlic in this somehow managed to push its way through the very garlic tomato sauce I put on it to try to cover it up, but there it was, like a loud off-key singer at the back of the choir. Please, Target, just give us quinoa without the garlic. I know you have to have some oil in there for this form factor, but give it to us like the rice pouches. People who want garlic can add garlic, but the way this is, even my garlic-loving self will not be buying this again. Super disappointed because I love the rice pouches and was hoping this would be similarly useful as a staple.

This was nothing special. Maybe it would be better tasting if it wasn’t a microwave pouch but I don’t know that I’d buy this again unless I really needed the convenience.

For someone that doesn’t eat rice all the time, I thought it was pretty delicious. It does have a strong garlic taste but I mixed other things in it like tuna and tomatoes which complimented it. It’s a great quick lunch/dinner that’s healthy.

I actually really enjoyed the taste and the smell wasn’t bad at all. I was skeptical after reading some of these reviews but tried it anyways and really enjoyed it! Glad I didn’t skip on this.

As others have said, the smell is unappetizing at best. It's a burnt, roasted garlic smell that I find repulsive. My husband says it smells like antique furniture. I really wanted to like it but alas, it went in the trash.

I didn't expect it to be a great as freshly made quinoa, but it was mushy and funky tasting. Visually it was very unappealing.

Smell is nauseating! Couldn’t bring myself to taste it

It was terrible. It had a very strong unpleasant aroma that made it impossible for me to eat. Maybe it would be better incorporated into a casserole or something, but I couldn’t eat it.

I appreciate the health benefits of this but no one at our table was a fan of the taste.

I can’t get over how terrible this smells - sure, it tastes edible but I just can’t get over what this does to the entire room, my refrigerator, and the embarrassment of bringing it to work for lunch.

Horrible - smells burnt and smoky but not in a good way. I added butter and lemon to try and make it better and it ended up in the trash. Try the brown rice lentil mix instead. It’s not as bad.

Disgusting smell. Even more disgusting taste. Smelled and tasted like plastic!

Picked this up in store on a whim. The only plus is the convenience, but its not worth it because of how disgusting it tastes

Pretty good. It tastes and smells very garlicky, which I like. Sometimes it clumps up in the bag though and can't be unclumped. It definitely has too much sodium, but that's for the whole bag.

I love this product! I pairs well with almost every meal. I love the taste and convenience of it!
