I used to eat this meal for lunch half the week and now it is awful! Bring back the OG rigatoni please! It is mush now and the sauce is not as good either.

This used to be my daughter’s favorite frozen pasta. The changes made in 2025 have resulted in a thick gummy sauce. So disappointing. Going to return the unused product.

What did you do to the Five Cheese Rigatoni???
The rigatoni used to be regular-sized, now they're small, like macaroni. It's all mushy and just isn't an enjoyable eating experience. Hopefully your other products haven't been "improved" like this. This used to be one of my favorites. Now I'll never buy it again.

I would not even give this one star but it’s required. This has been a family favorite for years, but not anymore! It’s nothing like it used to be. There is a weird mix of noodles, which are broken and smaller and turn out gummy and the sauce now tastes too sweet and it all has been cheapened. Whatever company bought it out has ruined it.

Horrible new recipe
The new recipe is terrible! Bring back the old recipe. The sauce is dry and like a paste, and the noodles are now much smaller and more like macaroni not rigatoni. I had to throw it away it was so dry and disgusting.

Where are the original noodles??? The smaller noodles makes it mushy. Why change??? I’m sure it has to do with money. How can we cut costs. Very disappointed. I thought I’d gotten the wrong meal. If it ain’t broke……

Came here to see if anyone else felt the same way about the changes, I see that I'm not the only one who shares the same opinion. I don't like meat in pasta which leaves me very few options in the frozen section for a quick lunch. These have been in my lunch rotation for a few years now but with the new changes I will not be purchasing any more. Some of the smaller noodles are thick which makes them not cook right so they are hard. The new sauce is more of a thick paste, the prior sauce was smoother and sweeter. Disappointed, hope the company reconsiders these changes.

Pasta Change
I've been buying this product for several years now. It was always OK. The last one had a different pasta in it - not rigatoni. It was a smaller noodle, much like a straightened out elbow macaroni. Not nearly as good or satisfying. Why did they ruin a good product?

Homemade tasting
For being a microwave dinner it has great flavor and even tastes homemade. The only drawl is it does come in a plastic container so I usually take it out and microwave it on a plate.

Noodle Change
This used to be my favorite frozen dinners. Always bought it when it wasn't sold out. So unfortunate they changed the best part. Hopefully they go back to the original or something comparable. So disappointed. First Smart Ones got rid of the Mini Rigatoni with Tomato Vodka Cream Sauce (at least in every store in my area), now this. Sigh.

Fail. Why change a PERFECT MEAL???!
The five cheese rigatoni is bomb for quick lunches. It acts as a snack for my teens and a perfect lunch for me to take to work. I have purchased 5-7 boxes per week for over a year. The sauce is literally amazing and every time I cook this at work everyone asks what it is- even purchasing it for themselves now too! BUT WHAT HAPPENED???? The noodles are smaller, the sauce changed (when stirred up, it turns into this nasty mushy orange color) and it’s terrible! The noodles were so thick and firm with this amazing bold RED sauce with a sweet kick. This is an ABSOLUTE FAIL. I’m hoping this was an emergency temporary production issue. I’ve been eating frozen lunches for decades (I’m in my 40’s) and the OG rigatoni was easily best frozen dish out there. Super bummed :(
