Nice Pump
I bought these on the Intex special for a spare, I use them to pump water through the pool heater/ boiler, wood fired, and it is the perfect gpm for the job, just a nice pump..

Unreliable
Had two now, both have either burned up or plastic parts started failing. Ugh, should have definitely gotten a better filter. Will be getting a sand filter for next summer. I have been through 2 of these in a year and a half. Disappointed 😞

Missing pieces
Product photos may be misleading and not adapted to the pool. I had to use my previous pump pipes to finish the set up.

good filter maybe lousy pool
never used the pump for the fact that the 8' pool once filled had multiple holes fresh out of the box. tried patching while filling with included patching material included was ineffective! Purchased some Gorilla water proof patching tape which was much more effective but continued to leak. Gave up! trashed the pool and never spent the effort to hook up the pump which is still in box. Water in So. California is too precious and expensive to repetitively to empty, patch and refill.

Pump worked as expected
Replacement of a pump that lasted 4 years. Received a newer version without timer. Intex replaced that one with one that had timer in the cord.

No timer
I am building a stock tank pool. I got on the chat to ask about pumps with timers. They said all the pumps have timers and there was no differences between the new models and the older models. I took their word for it and bought this older model and it doesn’t have a timer. I’m disappointed. Haven’t used it yet to see if it moves enough water to keep my 700 gallon tank clean; all the bloggers are using the 1500 or 2500 for their tanks that are the same size. We’ll see how this one goes and I will have to buy the newer model to get one with a timer. Frustrating, I tried to prevent this from happening.

Horrible pump. The timer is just a disaster
I have had intex pools for over 10 years and none of their pumps had a timer on it.. until now. The timer will only let it run for 10 hours a day. This a is not enough to keep the algae from growing in my pool. I now have to keep my chlorine levels considerably higher which is irritating my son. I would think they would just make a higher quality pump. The last pump I had was run continuously for five South Carolina Summers before it even started having the least issues
