A Line in the Sand - (Turtle Beach) by Teri Wilson (Paperback)

Debate question: Are animals support for us humans, or are we support humans for animals? A Line in the Sand by Teri Wilson had me thinking about this a lot! I instantly wanted to read this book since a Cavalier King Charles was on the front. I was cracking up the whole time because Ursula, the dog in this book, reminds me EXACTLY of Prince! I can tell Wilson owns a Cavalier because they are super "needy" dogs. Summary: Half of Molly's heart and soul lies with the aquarium in her small-town beach community. The other half is with her King Charles Cavalier. Max is new to town as the aquarium's director. He's feeling the pressure of financial issues, and cuts Molly's job due to budget cuts. While they may not see eye-to-eye, saving turtles is something they can both agree on. Can they work together to save the aquarium? What I Loved: ~ Ursula, the Cavalier ~ Grumpy x Sunshine Trope ~ Lighthearted, Fun Read ~ Aquarium/Coastal Setting ~ Meddling "OG Charle's Angels" This was such a fun read! It was pure escapism offering a sweet, clean romance. I absolutely adored all the side characters in this novel. The 3 meddling ladies were the best matchmakers and brought all the fun shenanigans! Prince's Rating: 3/5 Steaminess: Kiss Read if: You need a light, sweet, escapism read. Perfect to read after reading a scary thriller. Overall, I loved the setting and plot line. This would make the perfect Hallmark Movie. I did feel like the chemistry was lacking between the two main characters. Molly felt a bit immature for someone in their late 20s and Max came off hot/cold too much for me. This is a miscommunication troupe, so it's perfect who love that storyline. Molly works at the aquarium as a mermaid and her dog Ursula is always with her. The new director of the aquarium fires her. Molly is peeved and that starts the beginning of the enemies to lovers trope. This was a fun quick read. I enjoyed the characters and the small town setting. The senior citizens were my favorite part of the story. Ursula the puppy is also a treat.
