About the Author



Jane Bayer was inspired to write this book by a playground game that she played as a child growing up, and realized that it would be a fun and familiar way to introduce readers to new words and animals.

Steven Kellogg has illustrated many picture books, most notably the Pinkerton series and The Island of the Skog. He lives in Norwalk, Connecticut.
