First of all, I am not a vegetarian. I had high cholesterol and began making the decision to switch to less meats and especially less red meat. I have tried numerous plant based alternatives and this one is my favorite of the ground beef kind. There is layered beef burrito at Taco Bell i used to love and i am able to make a dupe using this, healthier cheese spread, sour cream and tortillas and it is so delicious and so filling. Way less fattening and better for you but tastes great! I dont even have the desire to buy those anymore. I will just make my own at home using this. Its great as a substitute in spaghetti and "meat" sauce with dishes and i cant wait to try it in other things. I wish it was a dollar or 2 less though considering you only get 3 servings.

I liked it!
I'm not a vegan but trying to move towards less meat and this was a great alternative! The texture is the biggest thing for me and I made tacos with it, sauteed it with the taco seasoning and really enjoyed it because it didn't have have that weird "plant based meat" texture.

Trying to make it go down
The smell is wretched; smells like dog food. Made it in Hamburger Helper hoping the sauce would overpower the smell and flavor. It is disgusting. A great portion of this meal will be wasted. Would definitely not buy again.

Great for pasta sauce
Great in pasta sauce! I wouldn’t try using this to make burgers or anything else that needs to hold its form, but for things like lasagna or simple “meat” sauce with noodles, this stuff is fantastic. Such an easy alternative and I love that it has some protein - although I wish it had more!

Nutrient dense and low cal!
Very surprised by this! I’ve always assume that plant-based meat options were filled with soy, and then I ran into this whole 30 option! I just tried it for the first time, and I can honestly say as an avid red meat eater this was a really good. Very shocked at the nutrient profile as compared to the same serving size of ground red meat. What a way to save some extra calories and get more nutrient density. I made a simple Powerball with us, and it was very very tasty. Again, I am shocked!

Eh, buy something else
Flavor was okay, a bit off from other plant based “meats”. It gave my partner and I diarrhea, and we are plant based.

Tastes delicious AND is healthy for my family
I can't believe how flavorful this "beef" is! It was such a delicious and savory addition to my marinara sauce - gave the sauce more dimension. I've been cutting back on my meat because it leaves me feeling bloated and heavy. This was filling without being heavy. My meat-eating kids also loved this and said it tasted as good as regular ground beef! I love that it's clean, has no junk ingredients. It's something I feel good about eating and feeding my family.

Great fake chorizo
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am an ex vegetarian, but still it a fair bit of fake meats and vegetarian food, so I need expert in vegetarian meats. I especially like chorizo, mixed with eggs, and this was wonderful. The texture, some spice, but not too much, and a great addition to a vegetarian meal.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I chose to try the chorizo option. I do eat beef chorizo at home and although it’s so delicious sometimes it doesn’t settle well in my stomach. This one was perfect on the stomach and didn’t make it hurt after lol I love also that it is Plantbased and not a product. I am not vegan or plant-based but I do like to limit the amount of meat that I consume. I love the sleek look of the packaging and the amount for the price was also very fair. Easy to find in store. I will definitely be purchasing this again.
